Aluminum Plate for Defense and Military
DFARS 252.225-7014 compliance
Defense procurement of specialty metals is governed by DFARS clause 252.225-7014, which requires that aluminum alloys used in defense applications be melted in the United States or a qualifying country. Nox Metals stocks 100% domestic melt aluminum plate and provides full documentation to support your compliance requirements. Learn more on our DFARS compliance page and in our DFARS aluminum materials guide.
Domestic melt across all alloys
We carry domestic melt material in 6061-T651, 7075-T651, 7050-T7451, and 5000 series (5052, 5083, 5086). Every plate we sell for defense programs was melted and manufactured in the United States. There is no commingling with foreign-origin material.
Berry Amendment compatibility
For programs subject to the Berry Amendment (10 U.S.C. 4862), our domestic melt aluminum plate satisfies the requirement that specialty metals be melted in the United States. We provide the documentation necessary for Berry Amendment compliance alongside standard DFARS certifications.
Full traceability
Every piece of material we sell is traceable to its heat lot, country of melt, and country of manufacture. Our cert packages include mill test reports, certificates of conformance, and country of origin documentation. This traceability chain is maintained from the smelter through our facility to your receiving dock. Read our guide on domestic metals in defense procurement.
Cert packages for defense quality systems
Our documentation is structured for defense quality systems and AS9100-registered facilities. Mill certs, COCs, and country of melt certifications are delivered digitally through your customer portal and included with every shipment. Whether you are a Tier 1 defense supplier or a machine shop cutting parts for a prime, we provide what your quality system demands. See how we also serve the aerospace industry.
